Handmade in Sweden.

Form, proportions and contrasts are the foundation of my work. The three-dimensional shape is the base, but I have also, for a long time, been interested in surfaces, often with relief, and how they stand against each other. In recent years, the surface has also gained new value through painting. I paint on my three-dimensional shapes but also on flat surfaces with relief.
The choice of material is important. I move between bone china, stone and earthenware but mostly enjoy working in china. I often use earthen ware and coarse stoneware as a contrast to the smooth bone china ware.

Dimensions: 53 cm x 49 cm

Anna Lerinder studied at Beckman school of Design, 1992-95. After studying design she went to Lidköping in Sweden to learn the craft of plaster modeling and to work at Rörstrand, a porcelain factory. After two years at Rörstrand she decided to set up her own studio in Gustavsberg's old porcelain factory to start working as a freelance designer and ceramic artist which she has done since then. Anna has worked with Rörstrand and Ikea through the years and has made a lot of public commissions as well as she has worked with her own production in her studio. Anna is represented at the National museum in Sthlm as well as in Röhsska in Gothenburg, Sweden. Her next public commission is a new subway station in Stockholm, Sickla station.
