Maker: Fumihiro Toda

Regular price £70.00

Handmade in UK

Simple yet characterful rice bowl crafted by Fumihiro Toda in Yawarede technique. The wonderful texture is created through the application of white clay by hand, before transparent glaze is layered on top of it. The sand grain of the white clay creates scratches in places which results in the interesting and unique surface patterning, perfectly complimenting the form of the bowl.

The muted tones of this rustic bowl make it a tool for eating that inspires stillness and calm. It is a timeless piece which demonstrates perfectly the craftsmanship of Fumihiro Toda.
