Ceramic vase hand built through combining coil and pinching methods. A unique and characterful appearance is the result of mixing five different clays and dry glazes.

Charlotte McLeish graduated from Central St Martins in 2013 where she studied Ceramic Design. She takes her inspiration from the Ancient Greek and Egyptian ceramics on display in the V&A and British Museum, which she visits regularly to sketch. Her slips and washes are made with organic materials, such as sand and clay, collected during walks and travels. Layers of these slips are applied to Charlotte's pieces, which allows accidents which she welcomes because of the crackles and movement that this creates.
