Small bowl with white crackle glaze interior. The surface patterns and markings are totally unique to the vessel, and capture the process through which they were made. Jennifer burnished and then waxed the clay of the exterior, which is subsequently darkened by smoke during firing.

As all products are handmade sizes and colour may vary slightly.

A pre-foundation course in 2008 introduced Hampstead-based ceramist Jennifer Morris to the freedom of working with clay. She hand-builds objects that can easily be inserted into daily life and provide both joy and a function. Jennifer loves the surprises that are intrinsic to the ceramic practice. This explains her preference for the Raku firing process, which causes crackling, and means, as Jennifer says, ‘You can never make the same exact piece twice and therein lies the magic!’

Jennifer uses an understated and limited colour palette, which draws attention to the beautiful silouhettes of her creations.
