Description: An understated, elegant vessel with a gently tapered form. Exhibiting a hazy pale green exterior glaze which is subtly patterned with fine speckles and cracks, contrasted to its smoke grey interior peppered with intricate dotted markings.

Inspired by the passage of time and connections to the past, Kate Schuricht’s boxes, jugs and vessels capture a timeless quality. Solitary forms possess stillness, while intimate groupings embody an air of contemplation. Conceived as small scale installations, her elegant, architectural forms provoke a simple yet striking backdrop for a range of raku crackles and subtle stoneware hues. The addition of natural materials such as wood, stone and precious metal gilding creates harmony within her ceramics.
