Svend Bayer

Svend Bayer is a highly respected potter. He trained under Michael Cardew who considered Svend 'his best pupil' He uses local North Devon ball clays and fires his kiln with wood. He is known for boldly decorated domestic ware and very large pots. Svend has exhibited widely in Europe, the Middle East, North America, Australia and New Zealand.

Svend’s mesmerizing works are the true representation of studio pottery. Wood fired in the kiln over several days.
