Description:
Handcrafted by Aki Sakaida, a contemporary glass artist. Her transient works are made with a combination of highly saturated and subtle tones with vivid undulating edges and curves. The sleek and shiny interior is contrasted with the light in colour, textured outer body that is formed through the burning of wax onto the surface of the glass, resulting in the resemblance of ice. This series of impressively lightweight vessels are from Sakaida’s exquisite collection ‘Kuyuri’ that mediates on the multifaceted forms and chromatic palettes in nature.
This frosty, handblown glass bowl is handcrafted by Sakaida. The popping yellow marks in the heart compliment the impeccable form, making it a totally unique piece.
