Artist: Belgium born Ann Van Hoey studied ceramics Institute for Arts and Craft in Mechelen Graduating in 2006 after previous studying Masters in Applied Economic Sciences at the University of Antwerp in 1979. In 2011 Ann became a member of the International Academy of Ceramics and has had her work exhibited in countless exhibitions world wide, including Korea, China, the USA, Italy, Taiwan etc. She has also been awarded prizes and had work selected for many international competitions.
Description: Created using a rolling pin and hand tools, the clay is rolled into thin shapes and re-assembled and folded into the final shapes. Perfectly built with a pure and simple in its finish the origami like bowl is a unique piece of art work that explores 'flawless order and geometric logic'.
