Handmade in Japan.
Hand thrown fine earthenware with urushi blended into the glaze, this small plate created by Kenta Anzai has a thoughtfully aged surface. A simple form yet with unique details to its finish, a result of polishing up to eight times with fine sand paper - this pot is a wonderful example of the wabi sabi aesthetic.
As all products are handmade sizes and colour may vary slightly.
Apprenticed to renowned potter Taizo Kuroda, Japanese ceramicist Kenta Anzai handcrafts a beautiful selection of pieces ranging from vases, pourers and containers to plates, tea bowls and sake cups. Kenta’s work is the perfect example of the Wabi Sabi aesthetic in Japanese pottery.
