Handmade in UK.
Lisa’s pourers, hand thrown on the potters wheel, are each consciously crafted to be enjoyed daily. Enjoy with cream or milk at afternoon tea.
With a satisfying soda-fired finish, Lisa never fails to remind us of the clay's natural plasticity. Soda firing is an atmospheric firing technique, where sodas such as sodium bi-carbonate and sodium carbonate are introduced to the process at peak temperature. In the heat the soda vaporises and bonds with the surfaces of the pots to form a sodium-silicate glaze.
Dimensions: w-6cm x h-6cm
As all products are handmade sizes and colour may vary slightly.
Lisa set up her own pottery in 1980. The development of Lisa’s recent work is a reflection of time spent in Japan, making, firing and exhibiting, which resulted in successful shows in Japan and all over the UK. She spent 9 months in Sydney, Australia and has held teaching posts at Goldsmith’s College and Camberwell College of Art. She has been elected member of the Craft Potter’s Association and had her work shown in the National Gallery, London and The Tate, Liverpool.
