"I discovered my love of clay during a pre-foundation course in 2008. It tapped into a freedom of creativity which I found liberating. There is something special about taking your time to enjoy the process of making something by hand. For me it is about creating simple objects which bring joy that can be used every day.
Inspired and encouraged by my patient teachers, I set up my own studio in 2014 alongside a brilliant technician and fellow potter. My recent induction into throwing has broadened my collection by introducing new forms. I use a limited glaze palette and enjoy experimenting on different clay bodies. Clay is both playful and forgiving and wonderful things can transpire from mistakes. I love the surprises inherent in this craft, especially Raku, You can never make the same exact piece twice and therein lies the magic! "
