Maud and Mabel’s collection of contemporary ceramics includes functional pieces designed for everyday life and sculptural stand-alone works of art. The collection brings together ceramic artists working across the world who take inspiration from nature to ancient Greek mythology, in a multitude of techniques such as coiling, pinching, hand throwing and polishing.
Maud and Mabel’s handmade ceramics display a combination of key Japanese aesthetics with a clean, modern minimalism. We are honoured to show a beautiful collection of Japanese ceramics, including pieces crafted by Yuta Segawa, Mizuyo Yamashita and Nobue Ibaraki. Additionally, the collection features the works of numerous renowned and celebrated UK ceramicists, such as Akiko Hirai, Jack Doherty and Nancy Fuller.
